KOTOR and Mass Effect are two of my favorite game franchises.

I was interning at G4 & part of my job was transcribing interviews. I spent days listening to the BioWare team talk about KOTOR, the Star Wars game I had always dreamed about. I bought an Xbox when the game released and spent the summer playing it.

Years later I got to take the review build of Mass Effect home, whatever plans I had that weekend were cancelled after playing the first hour of the game. What an incredible ride.

While producing GTTV I got to visit BioWare in Edmonton a few times, always trying to get them to tell me what was going to happen next to Commander Shepard.

What a sad day for the industry to lose such an influential developer.
