🚨 REPUBLICANS HAND THE DEEP STATE ANOTHER WIN 🚨

And just like that, Congress extended Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) - the same surveillance authority at the center of Russiagate and years of documented government spying abuses.
James Clapper. John Brennan. James Comey.
The architects of the intelligence apparatus that targeted Americans have every reason to celebrate.
Remember: a federal judge found that hundreds of thousands of Americans were improperly surveilled, while @TheJusticeDept Inspector General Michael Horowitz uncovered widespread problems with FISA applications and approvals.
Americans were promised reforms. Instead, Washington renewed the very system that has been used to spy on citizens, target political opponents, and expand the surveillance state.
This was the opportunity to rein it in.
Instead, Congress chose to preserve it.
The surveillance state just got STRONGER.
And the American people got fewer protections for their privacy and constitutional rights.
