@richardbrabner Yes I have been pondering this. Lots of good work has been done in unis and SUs that should not be thrown out because the legal imperative has gone (for now). We still need to make sure everyone can enjoy free speech within the law and do so free of harm within the law.

@markmleach I did correctly predict - as @registrarism can testify- that a good choice would be an experienced chair from another sector with a strong interest in HE. Is there a prize? And I didn’t use asparagus.
@AaronPorter Reading this alongside the excellent work by @smitajamdar and @Jess_Lister and co on market exit today, there needs to be investment to work with the sector differently and rapid prioritisation - apart from FoS, what else can really go?
@AaronPorter It’s a cracking read and elegantly exposes the problematic dynamic of gov, DfE and OfS to date. One could say it is quite kind to OfS. I too hope for a reset, though that will take time and I’m not sure what resources will be available in the current climate. And…
