So, I’ve finally completed LITC (#LoveInTheClouds).

1. About the plot: The plot itself isn’t weak, but the pacing felt too fast. Up to episode 9, the drama raced ahead, sometimes feeling rushed despite interesting developments. Still, thanks to the actors’ performances, I genuinely enjoyed watching it. Final verdict of it ; The plot isn’t weak, but it definitely could have been better. I’m not saying it needed to be dragged out, but a few more twists and turns would have helped especially in gradually revealing who was truly Jibozai and who was actually Mingyi/Mingxian.

2. Overuse of filters: Minghao is naturally very handsome, yet the drama relied too heavily on filters. This was especially noticeable with Yuxiao. I genuinely like her She was excellent in My Journey to You and also performed well here but the excessive filtering made her hard to recognize at the beginning. It wasn’t until the marriage arc that her features finally felt more natural. The filters were simply too much.

3. Dubbing: Unfortunately, I didn’t really like Yuxiao’s dubbing. It felt slightly distracting at times and didn’t fully match her expressions, which affected my immersion in certain scenes.
(Mostly in the beginning part).

4. Editing & continuity: There were a few noticeable editing issues. In some scenes, I could clearly spot the battery pack on Yuxiao’s back and even the rope during her capture by Lord Muqibai which slightly broke the immersion..(⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

5. Supporting characters: Zhang Tai and Yan Xiao initially reminded me of Rongxian and Linglong from Moonlight Mystique. At first, I didn’t even recognize the actor playing Yan Xiao because he looks much more handsome here compared to Moonlight Mystique a pleasant surprise, honestly 😄! (Muqibai in Story' of Kunning Palace too).

6. Immortal Situ: I genuinely disliked Immortal Situ as a character. While I could understand his emotions toward Mingyi, love can’t be forced feelings don’t work that way. So, the actor portrayed the role extremely well. The fact that I disliked the character so much actually proves how good his performance was. A great actor indeed 👍🏼!

7. Character interactions & development:
I wish there had been more interaction between Er Shi Qi (27) and Bu Xiu their dynamics could have added extra depth. Also, I wanted a stronger glimpse of Ji Bozai’s playboy side. He mostly just joked around, but a little more flair in that aspect would have been fun and added more layers to his character 😉.

8. Overall performance of the main leads:
Absolutely phenomenal 100000000000/10! 😄 Their acting and emotional range were impeccable, and the chemistry between my favorite actor and one of my favorite actresses was electric. I truly hope to see them together in a modern drama soon just as Mingming "wishes" : bikes, contemporary settings, and, of course, Lu Yuxiao as the female lead.
