DC Comics has announced that 2027 is The Year of Wonder!

Louise Simonson and Cian Tormey will do a 4 part story that promises major changes for Diana and the Amazons. Diana attempts to overturn the Amazon Safety Act, which has prevented her sisters from returning to Man’s World. But after everything the Amazons have endured, convincing them to return may prove more difficult than changing the law itself.

The arc will also bring Lois Lane into the action, along with Granny Goodness and her Female Furies.

after having been a woman in the gaming community and the comic community i can def say in the modern era the comic fandom space is way more hostile to women and that’s saying something considering how gaming has treated women

gaming has a long way to go but it has come a long way in terms of including women in the conversation and the space in my experience from online play as a child to now. the comic community literally sends me death and rape threats in my mentions and dms because i didn’t wear my lantern ring on the right finger because it’s too big.

it’s frustrating being a girl and just wanting to enjoy your art and escapism and video games and being met with so many insecure people who want to make you feel small if you’re not the perfect fan or even just a *gasp* woman
