Over 10,000 care home beds have been lost in the last 5 years. The areas losing the highest number of beds are Sunderland which has lost 15.3%, Bracknell Forest 15.1% and Hartlepool 14.3%.

Of the 150 local authorities in England only 74 have more home care beds than in 2014.

Last weekend, sadly Mark died. We began providing care for Mark in 2001 and his wonderful carers have provided continuous, 24/7 support since that date. Mark remained living in his home which was his objective when he approached Able Community Care 18 years ago.
