Two people I've met with similar energy:
11-year-old: I jump to page 250 and start reading there to skip the boring parts of 'boring books' (this was for Pendragon)
28-year-old: You don't need to actually read books you can just google them.
I had someone I just met ask me if I ever worked in broadcast or radio... the answer was no...she then just walked off. Is this a new way to say you're articulate cause I don't have one of those cool radio voices #confusing#compliments
My favourite tweet that was found while procrastinating from writing my sci-fi story. Is this now considered rewriting if it informs other future writing, or am I just fancy procrastinating. #writerscommunity
I got fantastic short story writing advice a week ago. I was so excited to try it out when I had time and now that I have time I'm just staring at my phone wondering if my short story will write itself if I wish hard enough.
When you're asked to keep a speculative fiction idea journal and you decide to doodle your ideas cause it hands are tired and end up using more energy anyway
I blew the mind of two of my coworkers when I told them I don't get 'songs stuck in my head'.
I used to think people were either exaggerating it or talking metaphorically. At the most, I get a couple of notes/words five minutes after hearing a song. #music
Every day after work I watch a man in a #Goku hoodie with the arms ripped off jog by. When he gets to a crosswalk he drops to the ground to do pushups until he can cross. I thought he was having a hearattck the first time, now I look forward to seeing goku man. #running#anime
Also I was learning 10 different languages on @duolingo ... I don't remember trying to learn Turkish, Spanish, or Italian. Did I do these lesson while asleep?
So my roommate was talking about @duolingo's year report and I vaugly remembered using a bit this year during lockdown so I looked at mine.... tell me how I made it to the top 12% of users on the app.
Was telling a friend who is of East African descent (horn of Africa) about a writing project, 5 words in she/they got what I was doing. It was amazing not having to explain it. I just clapped my hands, nodded and patted her/their shoulder hard.
thinking of a romcom where dev patel's a snobby city journalist, and lana condor's a romance novellist who also writes thrillers under a different pen name. he puts the romance novel on his "worst of" list and the thriller under "best", not knowing they're by the same personβ
