For some reason @mit wants to copy the playbook of lower ranked and less impactful schools. Doesn’t seem logical.

for as much as MIT loves to tout the entrepreneurial spirit and uncommon creativity of its student body, they seem to miss the fact that a large proportion of the students that embody this ethos are born out of the spaces the admin keeps destroying.

@mit is sanitizing, “gentrifying” and white washing the communities that make undergraduate life so special/welcoming/supportive. Senior Haus, Bexley & East Campus were the most DIVERSE dorms on campus across identity & socio-economic status. Why? To be like lower ranked schools?

Did you know that MIT already released its plans to gentrify the dorm East Campus?

Under their current plan, murals and the freedom to build will disappear. A few sanctioned quirks like the EC rollercoaster and temporary murals will remain.
