National Indigenous Peoples Day is June 21st in Canada. Seeing @DeadbyDaylight releasing The Life Road and Shane Wiigwaas so close to this day is actually really special, considering Behaviour is located Kanien'kéha territory.
Canada has a really messy history with it's treatment of Indigenous people, to the point of being hyper-invisibilized in media. I have spent a lifetime of consuming media where I never saw Indigenous representation done "naturally" even when that media portayed diversity.
The lack of visibility is why there are still people out there, who still genuinely believe Indigneous people no longer exist, or that we all still live in tipis, when we are very much apart of society and thriving.
Instead of engaging with that dude, take time to watch this documentary about the history of Indigenous representation in cinema in NA, this will help some people why shane's indigenous identity and it's representation matters. https://t.co/XOq6xk1LV4
If you run one of those Twitter accounts “<insertlicensename>fordbd” and all you’re doing is pissing people off, you’re not doing the license in question any favors
The irony of calling LGBTQIA+ people mentally ill while making a whole identity around fighting pride charms cosmetics in a video game. The call is coming from inside the house. 😭😭😭🤡🤡🤡
