“I wasn’t raised Muslim… I found Islam. And somehow, Islam found me.” 🤍

I don’t think people understand what it feels like to find Islam when you weren’t raised Muslim.

I didn’t grow up learning the Qur’an. I didn’t grow up knowing how to pray (Solat). I didn’t have years of childhood memories built around Islam.

I had to find my way to it. 🤍

And when I finally found Islam, I realized I wasn’t just choosing a religion… I was finding a home for my heart.

Becoming a revert has meant learning, unlearning, asking questions, making mistakes, starting again and constantly trying to become closer to Allah.

Some days I feel strong. Some days I struggle. But through it all, I’m grateful that Allah allowed my heart to find its way to Him. 🥹🤲🏽

And now, when I look at my life, I sometimes sit back and think…

“How did I ever live without knowing this peace?”

Alhamdulillah for Islam.
Alhamdulillah for the journey.
Alhamdulillah for being guided. 🤍🕌

If you’re a revert, what was the moment you knew Islam was for you? 🤍

🇳🇱🤯 This is insane... Ajax academy player Syb Zeldenthuis did a total of 3085 kick-ups. He had to be stopped because Ajax's match against Sion was starting. 👏

The whole stadium applauded him. A moment he will never forget. ❤️
