Hello @BlrCityPolice
There has been an incident of two police officers extorting an innocent (Kannadiga) person for a bribe of Rs. 37,000/- in Indiranagar when he had done NOTHING wrong
No FIR done by police; only departmental enquiry has started. Threat calls being made (1/9)
#WATCH | Atul Subhash suicide case | Delhi | Advocate Vikas Pahwa says, "It's a very serious matter and being a criminal lawyer I have seen how 498A has been misused by the legal fraternity, the police machinery, the disgruntled ladies, those who have filed all these cases. I have seen it from my own eyes in the last three decades. But this incident has triggered the controversy and has brought the issue before everybody in the country. I think this issue now should be taken very seriously because 498A misuse should be curbed. After all, it has an impact on the social fabric of our society. There are false allegations which are not only filed against the husband but also against the father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, of the family. They are also implicated in these kinds of cases and most of them are false. I'm not saying genuine cases are not there. There are genuine cases which should be looked into, but the majority of them, which we see are filed to persuade the husband to settle the matter for some money...So this shows how this law is being misused. I think serious action should be taken..."
If you are born poor, put your entire life's effort into studies and get a job. Otherwise, you would be treated worse than a criminal all your life. There is no second chance for you.
@zomatocare Thank you for your response regarding my previous query. While I appreciate the distinction you've made between promotional offers and Gold benefits, I must express my continued frustration about the delivery fee structure. As a Gold member, I expected a seamless experience.
Still reeling from that Bibek Debroy article. Some thoughts:
1) Old age is hard. More so for the (n-1)th generation. The first generation who won’t have a joint family to see them through their old age.
These are the elders, who produced kids who excelled, and outgrew their home, so they left. It’s like teaching your kid how to ride a cycle, and when they do it finally, they paddle away, focusing on the road, navigating the potholes & hence not turning back, and you look wistfully, until your smile dries up.
2) Good to be prepared. To have no expectations. But such thoughts of invincibility come when you are fit. God knows when you need someone else to help pass stool. All your dignity, your ego, evaporates that day. Then you just wait.
3) Kids who are away, should call their parents often, and not talk about the past, but talk about the mundane, like you are living in the other room. How was the sabji today, was it good? Did the AC service guy come? To at least pretend you are around, and not an emergency flight away.
4) It’s inevitable. Forget this tweet. Enjoy life.
CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed. We refer customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website. We further recommend organizations ensure they’re communicating with CrowdStrike representatives through official channels. Our team is fully mobilized to ensure the security and stability of CrowdStrike customers.
Something super weird happening right now: just been called by several totally different media outlets in the last few minutes, all with Windows machines suddenly BSoD’ing (Blue Screen of Death). Anyone else seen this? Seems to be entering recovery mode:
Seems to be a current worldwide @CrowdStrike issue causing BSOD. Seen reports form NZ, AU, Japan, India.
Some servers and devices are not resuming correctly and are getting stuck in boot loops

Hello, I have a fantastic Saturday morning read for you. In fact, you'll be engrossed in this the whole day.
As promised, we have published our disruptive project - the unique public-health project funded by @paraschopra to analyze common/well-known protein supplements sold in India.
Citizens protein project: A self-funded, transparent, and concerning report on analysis of popular protein supplements sold in the Indian market @theliverdoc@paraschopra@arifhussaintm
Full paper: https://t.co/EVUCPbzCh5
Popular 36 brands in all.
Here is an interesting fact: You will see that we have published the paper in a general medicine open access journal instead of a high impact nutrition/ sports journal. Well, we did submit this paper to multiple sports/ nutrition journals and not surprisingly, it was rejected from all of those - I wondered why and then found the answer. Many members of the editorial board, including editot-in-chief of those journals were "advisors," "consultants," or "promoters" of certain protein/supplement brands! Lot of conflict of interests for them to peer-review and publish our paper which openly took names and provided transparent analyses. Peer-review publishing is really broken in a sense. But then journals like Lippincott's Medicine provided a neutral ground for us to publish and also we could afford the additional open access fee indepedent of the full funding.
The total cost of funding this project is
INR 700,000 ($8400, by Paras)+INR 192,000 ($2300, by Liver Doc Team)=892,000 ($10700)
Please see the abstract section. Lot of information snippets are provided there. Also please read the whole study, our detailed finding and its implications. Focus on the supplementary files (which can be downloaded) and given at the end of the manuscript online.

‘one of whom was the wife of a Kargil war veteran, pleaded with the police personnel to drive them to a safe location but were allegedly told that "there was no key" for the vehicle. They later drove them right to the mob’ Ghastly!
