Yesterday afternoon, Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha was suddenly removed. Even he reportedly learned of it only after receiving his posting orders.

The new commissioner Anurag Kumar immediately summoned senior officers. The DCP and Joint CP were instructed to closely monitor Wangchuk's fast and law & order situation at Jantar Mantar. Then, first thing this morning, Wangchuk was picked up and shifted to a hospital.
