Day 28 of #100daysofhomelab I have had a few days away from the desk to progress but now I'm back, I need to rebuild my parents home computer and setup some automated backups to my NAS server. Love being that IT guy at home until I run into a problem that takes me 5 hours to fix!
Day 25 of #100daysofhomelab Weekend vibes, I need an IOT pint puller. Today I am just pulling the updates for ESXI, need to migrate the servers across to my backup ESXI.
Weekend days 21 & 22 of #100daysofhomelab Rewired the server cabinet, thinking about 10gbe SPF connections between esxi servers....but do I need it?
Day 22 of #100daysofhomelab Today I’m setting up a 4 bay NAS, with 4x WD RED 4TB drives to VEEAM backups. I’m duplicating my efforts to increase redundancy.
Day 17,18 & 19 of #100daysofhomelab This weekend I thought about rebuilding my network layout, instead I had to replace the family computer and im switching the family firewall from Sophos to pfSense
Day 16 of #100daysofhomelab and let me set this straight. My previous post was meant to say “Day 14 & 15” but somehow managed some numbers not even close to where I actually was. Anyway I have a spare Mac mini and want to setup a Plex sever with transmission. Come on GitHub ✅
Day 21 & 22 of #100daysofhomelab I've acquired some IOT temperature sensors. I have installed them at the front and bakc of my noiseless server cabinet to monitor temperature and moisture. Currently integrating it into HomeAssistant and setting up some actions.
Day 13 of #100daysofhomelab need to restore my VM's from VEEAM as im not quite sure what happened during last night's reboot. Also setup automatic pfSense backup via by bastion station.
Day 10 of #100daysofhomelab This has been a background project for a little while. Installing VEEAM Backup and restoration software for my Crown Jewel services. Current config is to backup to external NAS as well. Working well, restoring a VM is a piece of cake too.
Day 9 of #100daysofhomelab I’ve had a Dell R820 sitting in my server cabinet for a while. Today I’ve set it up as a second ESXI server and joined it to my vCenter cluster. Using the migrate function so I can patch and update the current server.
Day 8 of #100DaysOfHomeLab Simple one today of setting up SSH keys through bastion station. Sorting out the ssh config file for known SSH hosts (Allows quick connections of "ssh zabbix" instead of "ssh user@zabbix -p 1234")
