The rain is a reminder of Allah’s mercy. It is a blessed time to make dua, for prayers said in moments like these are cherished and answered. 🌧️
اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
(Allahumma sayyiban naafi‘an)
“O Allah, [let it be] beneficial rain.”
Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim.
First and foremost, I thank Allah (SWT) for His blessings, guidance and for granting me this opportunity to serve. I am truly humbled by the responsibility that has been entrusted to me.
I sincerely thank the ODM Party Leader, Hon. Dr. Oburu Oginga, and the entire ODM fraternity for their support, confidence and encouragement. I am grateful to all the members of the party who have stood with me throughout this journey.
I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Service Commission and all the Commissioners, as well as the Senate and the National Assembly, for the confidence placed in me.
To the Governor of Wajir and all our leaders representing Wajir, thank you for your support and for continuing to champion the aspirations of our people. I carry this responsibility with great humility.
To my family, relatives, friends and everyone who has walked this journey with me, your prayers, encouragement and sacrifices have brought me to this moment. I am deeply grateful.
As I stand here during this significant week of remembering Baba, the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, I find myself reflecting deeply on his life and leadership. His passing reminded many of us that leadership is not about the position we hold, but about the lives we touch and the people we empower.
I am reminded of the philosophy in Multipliers: “The goal of a multiplier is not to multiply himself or herself, but to multiply those around him or her.”
To me, this captures an important part of Baba’s legacy. His leadership was not only about what he accomplished himself, but about the leaders he inspired, the voices he amplified and the generations he encouraged to rise.
As I take on this responsibility, I hope to carry that same spirit to serve, to empower others, to create opportunities for others to grow, and ultimately to leave behind a legacy that is greater than myself.
May Allah grant me the wisdom, strength and integrity to fulfil this responsibility faithfully.
Thank you all for walking this journey with me. May Allah bless you, bless the people of Wajir, and bless our beloved country Kenya.
Honoured to attend a fundraising gala for the proposed Wajir Peace University that also serves as a tribute to the legacy of the late Dekha Ibrahim a champion for peace who was part of the pioneers of the wajir peace intiative of the early 90s. As the saying goes, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
Congratulations to my former Cabinet Secretary @AdanMohamedCS in the Ministry of East African Community. Your appointment is a confirmation of your professionalism and commitment to Public Service. I wish you success on your tenure as you fulfil the responsibilities of strengthening revenue administration and supporting Kenya economic growth. May Allah (SWT) make this journey a successful chapter in your career. Mabrook !!!

We had an amazing time with the residents of Kisumu in the lakeside City yesterday. We heard, we listened, we noted… thank you Jo-Kisumo for the hospitality and the support #Coin10onTheRoad
This is how we started our day in the lakeside City of Kisumu… a courtesy call at the Governor’s office where we had a fruitful engagement with the Deputy Governor HE @ochieng_owili who shared with us very important insights… #Coin10OnTheRoad
Just PRAY.
Zakariyya A.S. didn't know how Allah was going to give him an offspring. He still prayed.
Yunus A.S didn't know how he would be saved from the belly of a whale. He still prayed.
Musa A.S. didn't know how Allah would make a way out a (seemingly) dead end. He still prayed.
Ayyub A.S. literally lost everything. His children, money, and health. Allah then inspired him to make Du’a through , and Allah restored everything.
Sometimes, you don't have to know the “HOW”. You just have to pray with full conviction.
Allah is saying to you today,
“I will never send you into a situation alone. I go before you. I stand beside you. I walk behind you. Whatever situation you are facing, be confident that I am with you.”
It was an absolute joy to celebrate with the phenomenal ladies, Deka Ibrahim, Faaizah Okash and Shukri Hassan, at the opening of their all-female led firm, ROH Advocates LLP.
Their bold and inspiring step speaks volumes of courage, vision and excellence. I wish them boundless success as they blaze trails and seek to redefine legal practice.
CS Treasury John Mbadi met COIN-10 members, reaffirming govt commitment to fully implement the Ten-Point Agenda & NADCO Report. He assured Treasury support on public debt, funding of institutions, and devolution, as COIN-10 prepares for nationwide public consultations.
Statement by Fatuma Ibrahim Ali on the Passing of Hon. Justice Mohammed Ibrahim, SCJ
I have received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Hon. Justice Mohammed Ibrahim, SCJ, a towering jurist, a principled public servant, and a cherished friend.
Justice Ibrahim served Kenya with exceptional integrity, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to constitutionalism, justice, and the rule of law. His calm authority on the Bench, his intellectual depth, and his courage in defending democratic values strengthened our institutions and elevated public trust in the Judiciary.
On a personal level, I mourn a friend whose counsel, humility, and quiet strength I deeply valued. He was a man of faith and conviction, whose life reflected service to both country and conscience. Our conversations were marked by sincerity, mutual respect, and a shared belief that leadership is ultimately a trust.
As a member of the Muslim community, Justice Ibrahim embodied the Islamic values of justice (adl), honesty, patience, and restraint. He carried the weight of responsibility with dignity, mindful that authority is accountable before both the law and Allah (SWT).
Indeed, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return” (Qur’an 2:156).
Kenya has lost a trailblazer and a steady hand in moments that demanded courage and clarity. I have lost a friend whose presence and guidance will be deeply missed.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues in the Judiciary, and the nation at large. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his service, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give strength and patience to all who mourn him.

A well-deserved honour in recognition of your outstanding service and dedication to the nation.
Proud moment, proud achievement.
Keep shining and raising the bar 👏🏽✨🇰🇪
What is unfolding in Tanzania is deeply concerning.
Reports of loss of life, disruptions to communication, and rising tensions following the recent elections highlight the urgent need for calm, transparency, and the protection of fundamental rights.
As leaders and partners in this region, we must collectively uphold the principles of dignity, justice, and peaceful democratic processes. Every citizen deserves safety, a voice, and access to clear information especially in moments of national uncertainty.
I stand with all communities calling for restraint, dialogue, and independent verification of events. Stability can only be achieved when truth is protected and human rights are respected.
A 14 year old orphaned girl was murdered in Somalia, a child whose only “crime” was being unprotected. Her life was taken with a level of cruelty no society should ever tolerate. No child should die this way. No human being should be reduced to this kind of suffering.
In my years working in human rights across Africa and within international programs, I have seen how often girls like Sabriin are abandoned, not only by failed systems, but by the silence we allow to settle around violence. What happened to her is not an isolated tragedy. It reflects a painful truth across many African communities and beyond the lives of vulnerable girls are too often treated as expendable.
This is not culture.
This is not discipline.
This is brutality and it must be confronted with courage.
We do not honour Sabriin by whispering. We honour her by demanding action.
We owe her justice, real justice.
We owe every child meaningful protection, strong laws, and accountability that cannot be bought, delayed, or ignored. The cycle will only break when abusers understand that a child’s life is not theirs to destroy.
Sabriin deserved safety, love and a future.
We must ensure no girl ever faces this fate again.

To lose her father just a week before this milestone and still stand with such grace, that is a strength only Allah can place in the heart.
Her father would have been so proud of her today. May Allah forgive him, have mercy on him, and grant him Jannatul Firdous.
MashaAllah, may He ease her heart, honor her parents, and guide her to a future full of light. 🌙🤍
Ayan MT is the newest laywer in town. She comes from my county. She lost her mom and dad at her tender age just like me. I feel her. She is a strong resilient girl. Intelligent and carrier of our collective hope not just her family. Her future is bright. May Allah hold her hand in all she aspires to be.
I have personally watched your journey unfold with admiration and pride. Your strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to bettering the lives of others have always stood out. You are a woman who carries herself with purpose and humility, and the impact of your work speaks for itself.
I am especially inspired by your dedication to youth, education, and the advancement of human rights. The sincerity you bring to every space you enter, and the courage with which you champion the voices of others, truly reflects a heart committed to service. Your growth, your resilience, and your consistency continue to shine.
May Allah guide your steps, bless your efforts, and open doors that elevate your mission. Continue advocating boldly, continue serving with compassion, and never underestimate the change you are creating.
