I'm imagining those grumbling about what the First Lady said would rather see our women do olosho than earn a decent living selling akara, because, I honestly can't understand their grouse. Aṣièrè ni most of them na, anyways, so, I'm not surprised.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 captures the First Lady's admonition advising vulnerable Nigerians to put their best efforts into whatever they do - whether big or small, as a sure way to guarantee growth, empowerment and prosperity. Some people and culture of pride and entitlement mentality!
The first lady statement has really exposed alot of senseless behavior going on in our society... you want to learn tech you don't have another source of making money how do you want buy a standard laptop or you think you can learn tech In a day and start making money 😂😂😂😂
“VeryDarkMan, You’re a Hypocrite. You’re Not In Any Position To Criticize The First Lady, Remi Tinubu, Because You’re No Different From The Politicians You Condemn. Besides, There’s Nothing Wrong With What The First Lady Said. Many Of Our Mothers Selling Vegetables, Frying Akara, Fish, Onions Etc Trained Their Children Through School And Even Built Houses From Those Businesses. But We’re Living In a Generation Where Many People Want To Get Rich Overnight Without Starting Small Or Building From The Grassroots. That Mentality Is One Of The Reasons We’re Seeing Rising Cases Of K!dnapping And Other Crimes Across The Country.” ~ BrodaMike Reacts. 👀
Anybody you see mocking small businesses is either a civil servant or a salary earner who has no idea that a small business can grow into a big one someday. The First Lady is right. Small capital can start a business and change lives. I know many akara sellers who are sponsoring their children through school. Two years ago, I personally empowered some Almajiri street children with ₦5,000 each to start selling biscuits instead of begging. Many of them are doing well today.
