I fell in love with this verse:
“I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”
Isaiah 46:4 NLT
According to Jeremiah 29:11, everything is already planned out for your life. Trust God's guidance and have faith that He will lead you toward the path that's meant for you.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Mercy is when you can't even explain how you're still surviving, yet you are. You don't have it all figured out, but every day, God provides the strength, help, and grace you need right on time.
he was nice but i deserve someone who's crazy about me. there's a lot of "love out loud" that i missed out on as a child. i would love for my future life partner to give me that. love me out loud. speak of me with pride. best believe, i'll be doing that for you too.
Can we normalize worshiping God in every season of life, not just when things are falling apart? God deserves our praise in the good times just as much as He does in the difficult ones.
One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” That sounds beautiful until life stops making sense. It’s easy to trust God when everything is going well, but harder when doors close, plans change, prayers seem delayed, or life takes an unexpected turn. That’s exactly when this scripture matters most. It doesn’t say trust God when you understand everything. It says trust Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. There will be seasons where you don’t have all the answers and moments where God’s plan looks different than the one you had in mind. God has never asked us to understand everything, He’s asked us to trust Him. Every time I look back over my life, I see moments where God was guiding me even when I couldn’t see it. So if you’re facing uncertainty today, remember: God is already ahead of you, in the situation you’re worried about, and still making a way, even if you can’t see it yet.
People have babies, planned and unplanned, for all kinds of reasons.
But, imo, the best reason to have a baby is because you want to bring a *person* into the world. You want to raise a baby into adulthood with your spouse; you want to teach them all the things and make all the sacrifices, with the hope that they carry on the things you believe are important to their soul and the world.
There are many good reasons to have a baby, but you *must* remember the baby grows up. It requires something different from you at every stage, and ultimately you are bringing it into the world, entrusting its life to God, and preparing it, through your love, devotion, sacrifice, teaching, training, and prayer, to leave your home and carry on the eternal things when you are gone.
