When I was training in Thailand An old school stadium champion was holding pads for me and told me wrestling can’t work on Muay Thai. He told me to shoot a double leg, I did slowly and he blasted me in the face with a knee 😂

I asked him to show me again, I level changed and threw an overhand with it and took him off his feet.

This is where martial gets lost with low percentage moves. It’s like showing someone completing a Hail Mary in the NFL and just deciding that’s what we’ll base whole offense around. Every art is beautiful and has a place but in the sport of fighting some things are so much higher percentage.

If someone is holding your frickin leg it’s not time to defend your style and put all of Muay Thai on your back, just put a damn whizzer in and wrestle
