Operation Honor Guard provides charitable assistance to veterans service organizations that provide military funerals for veterans and service members.
For 40 years, I’ve watched volunteer honor guards stand tall for our veterans.
Starting Operation Honor Guard was my way of saying thank you.
I see you. I appreciate you. We stand behind you. 🇺🇸
Rich Darby, Founder

🇺🇸 Did you know many of the people providing final military honors are volunteers?
Across the country, local VFW, American Legion and other veteran service organization honor guards stand ready to pay tribute to fellow veterans often using their own time and resources to do it.
How do I make sure my Veteran receives military funeral honors? 🇺🇸
Start with your funeral director. They can request the honors, coordinate with the appropriate military branch, and even help schedule burial at a national cemetery.

Not every hero comes home to headlines.
Many come home to a simple white headstone.
What they all deserve is the same final tribute:
Honor. Dignity. Respect.
That’s why we stand with the volunteer honor guards who ensure no veteran’s service is forgotten.

As the sound of Taps echoes across sacred ground, we are reminded of the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who wore our nation’s uniform.
Today, and always, we remember. 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate 250 years of American freedom.
This Independence Day, we celebrate the red, white, and blue, may we also pause to remember the cost of freedom and the veterans who helped make it possible.
Happy Fourth of July from Operation Honor Guard. 🇺🇸

Are you ready?
Something meaningful is coming to Operation Honor Guard — and it is built around one powerful idea:
**13 folds. One final salute. A new way to stand with those who continue to serve.**
Our volunteer guards show up with dignity, precision, and respect. #13Folds
**Something meaningful is coming.**
A new way to stand with the men and women who continue to serve our veterans with dignity, respect, and honor.
The **13 Folds Society** is being created for those who believe every veteran deserves a final tribute worthy of their service.
They served our country. They returned home. They are still serving today as volunteers on their local honor guard. That is the true definition of a HERO. 🫡🇺🇸

They served our nation. They returned home. And today, they are still serving.
Honor guards continue to provide final military honors with dignity, sacrifice, and respect for veterans who have passed.

Most people know the American flag is folded at a veteran’s funeral. What many don’t realize is how much precision goes into it. Every movement is practiced. Every fold matters. When the flag is placed into the hands of the family, only the blue field of stars should be visible.
Fewer members. The same sacred mission.
Across the country, honor guards are shrinking in size, but their responsibility remains as important as ever. Operation Honor Guard helps support these dedicated volunteers as they provide final military honors for our nation’s veterans.
For many military families, this is the moment they never forget.
To the widows and families who have received a folded flag: What did that moment mean to you?
To honor guard members across the country: What does it mean to stand in that sacred moment?
One day, a veteran’s funeral could be missing something most Americans assume will always be there.
No rifle salute.
No sounding of Taps.
No folded flag presented by someone who understands the weight of that moment.

It’s a great day to sit down and send tax receipts and thank you notes to some of our donors. Without our donors, we would just be a mission statement. They are the fuel that runs this machine. 💙❤️💙❤️

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
Today, we pause to remember their sacrifice, honor their courage, and reflect on the freedoms made possible because of them.
