@boldenedflame Aikawa looks toward their destination with no small amount of trepidation. "Then if you are prepared, we ought not to delay. The mire will only be more dangerous when the sun next sets."

The moon hanging in the cloudless, starless sky. It was the same on that night, too.

@boldenedflame "If the Erdtree is your destination, we must pass the mire. Do you need any more supplies?"

@boldenedflame It's impressive. Unlike Aikawa, muscles honed with years of training, short and nimble. "Peaceful." For once. "What do you see when you sleep?"

@boldenedflame Aikawa doesn't watch. It would be disrespectful, would it not?

When Kim returns, she offers her something to eat.

@boldenedflame It's the first night in a while she's spent by another's side. The dreams that visit her are mercifully short.

She wakes early, tending the camp, preparing food as the sun rises.

@Ghost0fKamina The rustle of a bush has the woman stop, her shoe scraping the dirt as she assumes her ready position. Her hand goes to her sword, unsheathing it just an inch, enough for the steel to catch the moonlight.

She looks up, around...

"... Show yourself," is all she says.

@boldenedflame Aikawa caught it - she catches everything. "Ten years I've carried this sword." She begins to loosen it from her waist, setting it on the ground beside her.

Inside her bag, she takes out some water, offering it to Kim.

@boldenedflame She purses her lips, watching the fire dance too for a few monents.

"How long have you been on your quest?"

@boldenedflame She tips her head, thumb smoothing over the sheath of her sword...

"Allow me to assure you that I am not the type to use this on a sleeping woman. But, if that is what you insist."

@boldenedflame "If that is acceptable."

@boldenedflame For the briefest of moments, there's a twitch at the corner of her lips.

"Will you be resting for the night?"

@boldenedflame Aikawa looks into Kim's eyes, searching for that golden sheen... Nothing at all.

"And you think it will be you?"

@boldenedflame And her attention follows. "That is a very dangerous journey, Kim."

@Ghost0fKamina Aikawa takes careful steps down the moonlit path. It's night, and bandits or monsters could be anywhere nearby.

She keeps her sword ready, ears listening for the slightest sound of movement.

@boldenedflame Tarnished. Her grip tightens for just a flash on the katana before she relaxes.

"Aikawa. Are you travelling west?"

@boldenedflame "Ah. I understand. So long as you are not defenceless - otherwise I could not let you go in faith."

She adjusts the katana which hangs from her waist. "I would never let myself be caught without a weapon."

@boldenedflame Ahh. To miss one's own weaknesses is to show them to your enemy.

These dryleaf arts. All its practitioners are undefeated, are they?

@boldenedflame ... Ha. It is like fighting with an arm tied behind your back.

It is rather dangerous to carry no weapons.
