The army's dismantling of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf is a sharp U-turn from the manner Imran Khan was molly-coddled when he was needed to crush Nawaz Sharif. It appears to be a replay of how the establishment took MQM apart when it no longer fitted their goals.

Both Trump from the USA & Imran Khan from Pakistan promise death and destruction if they are arrested. The simultaneous fall of these 'soul brothers' has one difference. While voters ousted Trump, in Pk the establishment discarded Khan after he became a nuisance for the nation.

Every politician in Pakistan who has fallen out of favor with the establishment is then hounded to prevent reentry... be it BB, NS and now IK. It's a vicious cycle, where the nation teethers on bankruptcy & grows further vulnerable to exploitation. Humanity is paying the price...
