I think excluding swathes of books and movies (and ghost stories and folklore, in the case of oral traditions) entirely on how gory they are is pretty arbitrary, but if that's what you've decided for you then that's your decision. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@HLHPattison @24FrameRitual Okay, sure. I mean you don't need to be into horror aimed at kids, but that doesn't mean it's not horror. You don't need to be into most horror media, but that doesn't stop it from being horror or from somebody else walking away shell-shocked from a movie you yawned at.
