Interesting strategy, but from what we’ve seen building HoodSafe on Robinhood Chain, token age alone is a very weak safety signal.

Some of the nastiest setups are actually tokens deployed hours earlier that stay dormant at low MC, then suddenly activate. They can look exactly like a “runner waiting to happen” until liquidity gets pulled.

What matters much more is who controls the liquidity, deployer/LP wallet relationships, holder growth, buyer diversity, LP removal patterns and on-chain behaviour after activation.

We’ve tracked thousands of launches and repeatedly seen old tokens reactivate, get a handful of buys, and then have the same actor remove the liquidity.

Age can be part of the signal but I definitely wouldn’t snipe just because something is 5h+ old and still sitting at $10–15k MC.

🧠 A little context on the HoodSafe detection:

UFG was flagged as SMART MONEY EARLY with a HoodSafe Score of 44/100.

A 44/100 score at this stage is completely normal. The signal was generated extremely early, when HoodSafe had identified only 1 tracked Smart Money buyer and the token had not yet accumulated enough on-chain confirmation to justify a higher confidence score.

The important part wasn't a perfect score it was identifying unusual high-quality wallet activity while the market cap was still around $27K.

From there, UFG went on to reach roughly $2.3M MCAP an ~85X move.

Early detection means working with limited data. As more independent buyers, repeat buyers, liquidity, holder growth and market activity appear, confidence can strengthen.

On August 19, HoodSafe generated our first notable reactivation signal for $HOOKR.

The score was 88.2/100, with 0/100 Gate Risk and 90% confidence.

At the time, HOOKR had 1,477 holders, while the Top 10 EOAs controlled only 20.28%.

HoodSafe classified the event as an OLD_TOKEN_REACTIVATION, triggered by a new Class A ETH market.

Under the hood, the detector identified:

The new market used a 2,500 fee tier, 25 tick spacing, contained no hook contract, and the market-creation transaction came from the position owner.

Two days later, that changed.

On August 21, HoodSafe detected its first major confirmed whale accumulation event in HOOKR.

Instead of triggering on a single large swap, our whale engine waited through its confirmation window and measured 2.55 ETH of buying against only 0.113 ETH of selling, producing approximately +2.44 ETH net flow.

That whale alert is what made me buy.
