@JLig__@LiamHealy16 I despise Colby but he’s leagues ahead of Hokit in every meaningful way. Also tbf his win against Lawler was entertaining and his win against RDA was fun although a bit of a robbery.
@lookatmyopinion It was fun in a freak fight sort of way because they both gassed so hard but the volume stayed so high, but neither fighter could throw a meaningful shot after 4 minutes.
@JLig__@LiamHealy16 He didn’t throw a quality shot after 3 minutes, he’s technically horrific and can’t punch.
He is the closest thing you’ll find to Colby in all respects. He’s not very good but better than some ranked HW’s, extremely brave and tenacious and he has the trademark bullshit volume.
@Peacefulow1@TaporNapPodcast@MarcusMccurty1@mmaonpoint I would genuinely bet my life Hokit never wins a championship. I am happy to bet you whatever sum you like and put it in escrow, I have no idea what makes you think he is, but he is not that guy.
Josh Hokit this week:
- Cringe
- Hated by fans
- Tried to fight Jiri Prochazka
- Dana White says in front of him at the press conference that his gimmick is “not his thing”
- Delivers viral FOTY
- Dana White adds him to the UFC White House card
- Loved by fans
RESPECT 🔥
@JoshHawkTuahUSA@mmaonpoint What happens to your gimmick (and his to be fair) when he inevitably gets folded by the next decent fighter he fights because he’s unfathomably terrible on the feet?
@Peacefulow1@TaporNapPodcast@MarcusMccurty1@mmaonpoint Spoken like someone who’s never exchanged punches in their life. It really does not work like that, he exchanged by necessity because he’s incredibly limited and dragging the guy with all the physical and skill advantages into a brawl was his only path to victory. He’s so so bad.
@JLig__@LiamHealy16 He’s light years behind in the cage, I’m not sure anyone grasped how bad he actually looked last night. He was gassed to the point of exhaustion in 2 minutes and only survived, just barely, by virtue of his opponent gassing even harder.
@fenoxsky He hasn’t improved even slightly since his debut. He hits stupidly hard and he’s not afraid to put extended combinations together but his actual skillset is very limited.
He’ll still make it to the top 5 though because the ufc talent pool is at a 20 year low.
@Grabaka_Hitman Pyfer is so incredibly limited he had 1 way to win that fight and Izzy gave him a clear path. Even 3 fights ago that fight would’ve looked like the 2nd Vettori fight. The ufc is in a terrible place for talent now and fighters like Pyfer are taking full advantage of it.
@JakeGerberMMA …But he didn’t and he lost 3 rounds pretty soundly, what’s so hard to understand about this, we all watch the sport, we all know how the scoring works, why are we choosing to pretend we didn’t just watch lerone get badly robbed?
@TauSweaty@DovySimuMMA@ProBoxingFans UFC’s been cooked for about half a decade mate, at least there’s a somewhat compelling fight to be made at heavyweight.
A generational puncher vs a despicable scumbag who everyone wants to see lose is as good a story as you’ll get in 2026. Since they fluffed the Ngannou fight.
@heysget53011@damienfarronMMA Why are you saying things like this without a blue tick? Not only are you totally embarrassing yourself, you’re doing so without any financial benefit? Why do it to yourself when you know full well this isn’t the case?
@TauSweaty@DovySimuMMA@ProBoxingFans Whatever you think about it, however silly, doesn’t change the fact that people want to see it and they both deserve to be payed in like with that.
It’s a fact, however you see it, that people want to see them fight so why not make it? Other than obviously refusing to pay fairly
@KratosJr1990@funkmasterMMA He won it then went on to defend it against the same guy as well as a further 2 times. The guy he won it from is, by the way, now the champion again. So maybe consider that before calling a divisional all time great a bitch because you don’t understand the sport you claim to love
@TheArtOfWar6 No one can gaslight me into believing that fight wasn’t a horrendous robbery. Finding 4 rounds for Evloev is borderline corruption, if not sheer incompetence.
The worst robbery I’ve watched unfold in real time since Jones vs Reyes. Just so obvious and still scored so wrong.
