So - the fox was getting inside the little door of the HH feeder so we built that brick tunnel to keep him out! Worked for a few nights but now look! Challenge accepted! On to plan C! π¦π¦ #Fox#Hedgehog
He's back. The baby fox that stole the food in the easy access feeder has found my hard access feeder with 2 rooms inside it. And guess what - he can STILL get in! Gonna have to build a brick tunnel entrance to stop him I reckon! π¦
We thought the badger got all 12 of our local Hedgehogs in October but look who showed up last night! And it even looks like it's one we marked last year! Yay! HH food and water out tonight! π¦
Our little HH who showed up 2 weeks ago is very small (300g) but we were advised to keep him around, fed and watered. Then he appeared in the day (not a good sign), got stuck on a fence & gave up. He's now at a HH A&E in Basingstoke. Fingers crossed! More: https://t.co/mikR1o5kt9
Just when you thought 1 broken leg was enough (Mum Deer back in June) look what hobbled past the camera last night! Her daughter, front leg this time! Nice that the brother and sister look after her, but so sad. Hopefully she will also heal somehow! More: https://t.co/mikR1o5kt9
Three months after her leg was broken, Mother Deer is still hobbling around with the younguns. Eating fallen acorns mostly! The leg looks a bit painful still but she is managing! π¦
A while back, the Badger showed up and the hedgehog nightly visitor numbers went from around 12 to 6 overnight! After 2 more visits we've not seen a hedgehog since. Until last night! Fingers crossed! π¦
Poor old Mama Deer has suffered her badly broken leg for 11 weeks now. It's still looking sore, but you can see her put it down as she exits stage left.
The kids do provide family support and the fox follows them around!

Just when we started to see a few Hedgehogs again, this guy appeared! He nosed around all the places the HHs go then was gone. But so were the HHs! Until a week later when this single HH arrived for one night only ... so far! More vids: https://t.co/mikR1o5kt9
This is a Hedgehog feeding station but Dad Deer was definetely looking for things to do! After failing to break into the house this was the next most interesting thing to do! At least he didn't nick the HH food! The rest of our Hedgehog vids are here: https://t.co/6ALRVS64RR
Poor old Mum Deer got hit by a car (we think) and her leg looked broken in about 2 or 3 places, judging by how it was dangling. We couldn't find her anywhere and assumed we'd never see her again. However after 4 weeks she re-appeared and has been seen almost daily ever since!
Last night we saw Daddy Deer for the first time in ages. Mummy deer has a broken leg , a son and daughter to look after. Dad shows up from time to time, this time if the door was open he'd be in the house! Didn't even knock? More: https://t.co/6ALRVS64RR
The baby popped back last night, found the food/drink station then whilst he was outside, one of the adults wandered in behind him and they never even spoke!

Don't blink or you'll miss it. A couple weeks after the badger appeared (and disappeared) a baby (or babies) showed up one night. Here is one running around like a looney! Hopefully we'll get more footage.

The Badger's Back!
Hedgehogs in the UK only have 1 natural predator. So guess who showed up last night and had a good look around! βΉοΈ
