A key highlight of President John Dramani Mahama’s working visit to the United Kingdom was his participation in the Market Open ceremony at the London Stock Exchange, where he rang the opening bell to commence the day’s trading.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase Ghana’s economic recovery and renewed attractiveness to investors. The President highlighted the remarkable performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, which has emerged as one of the world’s top-performing equity markets in 2026. He noted the resurgence of activity on the primary market, marked by successful public listings and renewed investor interest in Ghana’s capital markets.
