๐กKelvin Sampson's coaching style is not for everyone. Not everyone can handle BLUNT FORCE TRUTH.
๐ชJ'Wan Roberts survived, thrived and GREW under Kelvin Sampson in his 6 years.
๐ฃ๏ธ@JwanRoberts13: "He puts you through a lot of adversity to see if it will break you or make you."

Charles Barkley: "I think some of these coaches are so afraid to be an actual coach... Part of coaching is criticism, discipline, and things like that. And a lot of coaches are so afraid because these kids are so sensitive now." #MarchMadness
Toughness isnโt something youโre born with โ itโs something you build.
Itโs not about talent; itโs about commitment.
Itโs not a feeling.
Itโs a decision.
Over and over again.
Toughness is the difference between the ones who talk about winning and the ones who actually do it.
Many high school parents would be livid if their childโs coach talked to them like this.
The coach would probably be fired!
Tough coaching means the coach cares.

Maybe there is still room in 2025 to hold players accountable
After clinching a spot in the AFC Championship game, #RavensFlock Head Coach John Harbaugh started his postgame press conference by reading 1 Chronicles 29:11 ๐
"We didn't earn these chairs.
Your talent didn't earn those chairs.
These guys (and girls) interrupted their life - paused their education.
They changed their career, and gave their life for those chairs."
Today we honor all that served-thank you, Veterans.
Bob Knight used to say each guy on the team has the exact same role:
Do whatever is necessary to help the team win.
Rest in Peace to a basketball legend.
"We talk about the will to win.
Let's eliminate the will to win and think about the will to prepare to win.
Because the preparation is much more important.
Everyone wants to win, but not everybody wants to prepare to win." - Bob Knight
"Everybody knows you have to pay a price for winning.
But most people are not willing to pay it.
They may pay it once, but you have to pay it every single day." -Tim Grover
Interest gets you in the gym, commitment makes you the last one to leaveโthat's how champions are built.

"You have to pay full price ... That's what commitment looks like. It's not when it's easy or convenient. It's when things are hard and things aren't going well." (Brent Venables)
