Having learned that the current owner of Panathinaikos BC is desperately looking for us, we would like to make it clear that he will find no allies in his campaign for 100–0 refereeing in Panathinaikos’ favour. For years, we have been fighting our own, genuine battle for a 50–50 standard of officiating. And we will see it through to the end.

In the past few hours, with his trademark lack of restraint, he has rushed to link our club and its people to an ongoing investigation with which we have absolutely no connection. He has even publicly boasted that he knew about it in advance. Since he claims to have full knowledge of this confidential process, did nobody tell him that we have nothing to do with it? That there is not a single mention of us? Or would that simply not serve the media spectacle he has staged at the expense of Olympiacos BC?

We do not play judge on Instagram or from behind a keyboard.

We have nothing and nobody to fear.

And as he already knows firsthand, any attempt to harm our club will be met, once again, with an overwhelming response. We only hope that, when he is convicted again, no tailor-made provision will appear once more to keep him at the helm of the club.

And one piece of advice: be careful what you wish for. Because if what was truly stolen is returned, your team’s trophy cabinet and that famous little table in Sounio will be covered in cobwebs instead of trophies.

P.S. Stop posting and deleting. Everything has been documented, and you will have to provide convincing explanations.

P.S. 2 Do not ever speak again of the laurel-crowned teenage Olympiacos emblem that adorned the entire OAKA in May.
