@Pres_Chicago @Eric_Erins It about the façade as part of the street. A façadectomy, which I have suggested in public CCL testimony, would be ideal. The Eagles Building on the 3800 block of N Bway is a perfect example of what could be accomplished, altho in this case it would be even more affordable.

Disappointing reporting by a Block club since 1-sided focused on Harlem Irving's perspective. Bad reporting

@BlockClubCHI Disappointing article by BCC. Totally ignored the outstanding case made by experts on behalf of the city & keeping the building facade. Meanwhile, Harlem Irving's expert witness admitted he didn't visit the site. Incorporating the façade is easy. Look at the Eagles Bldg on Bway

@Suntimes I didn't appreciate Chicago until I worked in Europe a few weeks in the 90s. When I mentioned Chicago, Europeans immediately mentioned @MarshallFields! And I thought it was just a fancy store downtown! Instead Chicago's best known, world-class brand. Still is after 18 years.
