but since TV is now mostly overtaken by digital media and streaming, ABSCBN said they currently do not see the need to apply for a tv/radio franchise at the moment.

@Gius200704 @hirosafir_ NTC cease-and-desist order back in 2020 for the lapse of the 25-year broadcast license. so all free-to-air broadcast channels on TV and radio have to stop broadcasting.

cable and digital are not under this broadcast license thats why Kapamilya Channel and KOL exist.

but, AllTV is basically an ABSCBN channel now, even on screen, as seen from the updated screen bug from a week ago
