💙 Day 1 of the #HLPF2026 Color Campaign | SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
As the High-Level Political Forum begins, @Zamara_fdn joins the global feminist movement in affirming that water is a human right!
Women and girls are at the frontline of the climate crisis and water insecurity, yet too often remain excluded from the decisions that shape water governance. Access to safe water is fundamental to health, menstrual dignity, education, bodily autonomy, and thriving communities.
We join the @Women_Rio20 in calling for public investment in WASH, an end to water privatization, and public, equitable, women-led water governance.
Water justice is gender justice. Climate justice. Reproductive justice.
#HLPF #ZamaraVoices
In Kwale, many children still face challenges accessing clean water and proper sanitation. Safe water is a right, not a privilege. Let's invest in solutions that protect children's health, dignity, and future.
Maji safi. Mtoto salama. Kizazi salama.

Niponisikike participated in a stakeholders' forum hosted by @PENKenya reviewing the status of the Kwale SGBV Act, 2023. We join other stakeholders in calling for urgent action to operationalize the Act and strengthen protection, justice, and support for SGBV survivors in Kwale.
Today we officially kick off ZaFLI Cohort 7 in Mombasa📣📣
Young feminist leaders from across the region are coming together for a powerful week of learning, reflection, strategy, and connection, grounded in a shared commitment to justice, liberation, and transformative leadership.

#ZamaraVoices
As we concluded ZaFLI Cohort 7, we took a moment to reflect on a transformative week of learning, growth, connection, and collective leadership.
We challenged ourselves, shared our experiences, built lasting connections, and deepened our commitment to advancing gender justice and human rights.
As we leave Mombasa, we do so with renewed purpose, stronger networks, and the knowledge that leadership is not a destination but a continuous journey of learning, action, and accountability.

💭Reflection
Today’s conversations challenged us to think deeper, question norms, and reimagine justice through a feminist lens.
We explored the African Feminist Charter and reflected on the principles and values that shape African feminist movements and leadership. We also unpacked critical conversations around sexuality, gender, sexual rights, and sexual health.
The discussions reminded us that feminist movements are rooted in dignity, inclusion, bodily autonomy, and collective liberation.
As we close the day, we celebrate the learning, the courage to engage in difficult conversations, and the growing community of young leaders committed to advancing justice and transformative change.

The same goal, new month.
Niponisikike keeps on making spaces for young women and girls to talk, study, & grow. Through discussions on education for girls, we are inspiring them to have hope for better futures and take decisive action toward them.
Their opinions are important.
Beyond the celebrations, what does real progress for women actually look like?
