Here’s the obligatory ’keys to a shop’ photo. After years of talking about it, I have finally got the keys to my own premises. I’m going to be living the life of luxury with a roof over my head, a door to keep the wind out and RADIATORS for when it gets cold.
There’s quite a bit of work to do before I can open, the builders start tomorrow and the electricians a few days later, but I’ll update you with more details when I know what’s happening.
Bricks and mortar BABY!
(Yes that is a coffee handle keyring).
@mgr1973 It is a shame, and I really hope someone else decides to take on the pitch. Without wanting to sound arrogant - a lot of people have made friendships because of me and my van and I feel sad that that won’t happen anymore.
For 7 years I have dragged my coffee machine around and after limping on for the last couple of months yesterday it decided it had had enough. I’m going to be out of action whilst it either gets repaired/replaced.
@mgr1973 Little cafes like mine act more like little community hubs where people who would normally just pass by each other stop and have a chat for the time it takes to drink a coffee. They act like a focal point for parks and to remove them can have a greater impact than people realise.
