The US has 100,000 troops stationed in 49 military bases in 20 European countries (for reference the ENTIRE Estonian army -where Ms Kallas comes from- totals 7000. The US foots Europe’s security bill against the main perceived threat there (said to be Russia, a belligerent side in the war being discussed). How many European bases are there in the US? Exactly… So, if the legal standing is undetermined, the numbers above definitely give the US absolute Realpolitik advantage at the peace negotiating table. Don’t you agree?
