ASA President Linda J. Mason, M.D., FASA responds to @aanawebupdates' newest anti-anesthesiologist, anti-team-based-anesthesia care communication. Learn more https://t.co/XpLwg4s0D2
I was called to be a physician.
I'm proud to be an #anesthesiologist.
4 yrs med school, 4 yrs residency, 1 yrs fellowship, 15 yrs in practice and I still LOVE IT!
This is why I won't stand by while AANA insults my profession.

Tired of nomenclature confusion? QL3? Anterior approach? Tequila? I'm just gonna call it the Porterhouse Block. "insert the needle thru the NY strip until you get to the filet mignon..." #mmmm#dukerap#apologiestovegans
We are thrilled that Dr. Beverley Orser, 2018 winner of the ASA Excellence in Research award, will be our guest judge at the 27th Annual @Duke_Anesthesia Academic Evening May 14th (pictured here with 2011 winner and Duke faculty Evan Kharasch) #DukeAE2019
Great pro/con debate on regional versus GA for the elderly with @Steve_Coppens and @rex_steffen at @UZLeuven symposium! Mortality arguments aside, regional affords better pain control, hemodynamic stability and fewer postop complications! Always need better RCTs, though. #DukeRAP
So delighted Shamsuddin Akthar from Yale @Yale accepted invitation to come and speak at #Wintercongress2019 ! Brilliant speaker, modest human, great mind. @UZLeuven
