Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Samuel Oyetoro was found murdered in Kogi State, Nigeria, after reportedly being attacked with a machete. His body was discovered by the roadside with severe wounds to the head.

He served at St. Paul’s Parish.

His killing comes amid Nigeria’s ongoing security crisis, with Christian communities facing repeated attacks from Islamist terrorists and armed militias. More than 1,000 Christians have reportedly been killed in Nigeria so far this year.

An Australian 🇦🇺 judge just decided that a man who lit a car on fire and graffitied “F*ck Israel” all over a Jewish neighborhood doesn’t hate Jews.

The vandalism targeted Woollahra, a suburban area of Sydney with a large and historic Jewish population.

But because Mohommed Farat—who has a Hezbollah tattoo on his neck—wrote “Israel” instead of “Jews,” the judge decided hate wasn’t a motivation.

Israel is the historic homeland of the Jewish people and where half of world Jewry lives today.

Hate against Israelis is also unacceptable

Australia must reverse this decision.

I would like the opportunity to address the "security concerns" Bell Bird Books has cited after capitulating to an online pressure campaign and canceling my book launch, because the security excuse does not align with what actually occurred.

On July 23, I personally retained a private security firm at my own expense. This is a highly reputable company that provides security for local synagogues and high-profile individuals. No one asked me to do this. I did it because it was the responsible thing to do for myself, the bookstore, and every guest attending the event.

On July 25, I notified the bookstore owner in writing that I had secured private security. Her response was: "Not worried at all and that sounds great."

On July 26, during a phone call with the bookstore owner, I asked directly whether she had security concerns or had received threats. She told me no.

The cancellation of my book launch on July 28th, could not have been about security. It’s because I’m an unapologetic Jewish voice and advocate for the safety and security of a sovereign nation and it provokes an online mob of hate. Had the bookstore requested additional security measures, I would have provided them but she never did.

I raise this because it reflects a broader pattern playing out across the country. Organized online pressure campaigns specifically target Jewish authors, artists, musicians, and other creatives. Too many institutions and bookstores respond by capitulating to the intimidation, then cite "security concerns" after the fact to justify their decisions.

When organized intimidation campaigns succeed, everyone loses - every community misses out. Open dialogue, an exchange of ideas, and intellectual diversity all suffer.

I empathize with what this bookstore briefly experienced because it is precisely what the Jewish community has endured for years. It is one of the reasons I wrote this book.

Public discourse cannot be dictated by online mobs, and we must not reward intimidation by yielding to the bullies. The solution is for institutions- including bookstores- to hold the line with the courage and fortitude to say no.

Who Is Sheikha Moza, and Why She Bears Direct Responsibility for Qatar’s Funding of Hamas, the October 7 Massacre, the Post-Attack Propaganda Campaign, and Global Terrorism

Sheikha Moza bint Nasser is not merely one of the most powerful women in Qatar — she is the central and most influential figure in the ruling Al Thani family, wielding decisive power over Qatar’s government, its vast wealth, foreign policy, media influence, and international relationships.

She is the wife of Qatar’s former emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the mother of the current emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the co-founder and chairperson of the Qatar Foundation. She sits at the very heart of the family that controls every lever of power in Qatar.

For decades, Sheikha Moza helped construct Qatar’s respectable, progressive face in the West. Through the Qatar Foundation, Education City, international charities, partnerships with prestigious Western universities, global conferences, and personal ties with Western political and academic elites, she portrayed Qatar as humanitarian, modern, and committed to education.

At the same time, the regime she dominated was supplying Hamas with precisely what a terrorist organization needs to survive, grow, and eventually massacre civilians: money, political legitimacy, protection, international access, and a secure headquarters in Doha.

Qatar hosted Hamas’s senior leadership in its capital. These were not ordinary Palestinian representatives. They were the commanders of an organization openly committed to Israel’s destruction — an organization that governed Gaza through violence, built a vast tunnel network, manufactured rockets, trained terrorists, and planned and executed the October 7 massacre.

Qatar transferred well over a billion dollars into Hamas-controlled Gaza over the years. The funds were officially designated for salaries, fuel, reconstruction, and family assistance. In practice, by covering the civilian and governmental expenses of the Hamas regime, Qatar freed Hamas to devote its own resources to tunnels, weapons, military training, propaganda, and the detailed planning of war — including the October 7 atrocities.

This was not passive support. It was active sustenance of a terrorist army, carried out by a regime in which Sheikha Moza held central power and with her full knowledge of the consequences.

Sheikha Moza was not a peripheral or symbolic figure. She was one of the most powerful individuals in Qatar throughout the entire period of Qatar’s alliance with Hamas. The claim that she knew nothing about the funding, the hosting of terrorist leaders, or the strategic protection Qatar provided to Hamas is not credible.

She may not have signed every transfer order, but she represented, promoted, and defended the regime responsible for those policies. She benefited from its power and used her institutions and global network to strengthen its international standing and shield it from scrutiny.

Her conduct after October 7 makes her responsibility even clearer.

Instead of unequivocally condemning Hamas for the murder, rape, burning, torture, and kidnapping of Israeli civilians, she directed her public outrage almost entirely against Israel. After Yahya Sinwar — one of the principal architects of the October 7 massacre — was eliminated, she published a statement presenting him as a figure whose name and legacy would continue to live.

This was not neutrality. This was not mediation. This was active glorification of the leader responsible for the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

Moreover, given her central position at the apex of Qatari power, Sheikha Moza was directly involved in planning and directing the regime’s propaganda and narrative campaign launched immediately after October 7 — a coordinated effort designed to deflect blame from Hamas, demonize Israel, and maintain international legitimacy for the terrorist organization she and her family had long protected.

Sheikha Moza cannot use Western universities, humanitarian language, and carefully managed public relations to separate herself from the actions of the regime she helped lead.

She belongs to the ruling family that financed Hamas-controlled Gaza.

She belongs to the ruling family that hosted Hamas leaders.

She belongs to the ruling family that gave Hamas protection and international legitimacy.

She helped build the global influence machine that shielded Qatar from accountability while Qatar sustained its alliance with Hamas.

And when the architect of October 7 was killed, she chose to honor his memory rather than the memory of his victims.

Hamas terrorists carried out the massacre on the ground. But they did not grow in isolation. They were sustained by states, patrons, financiers, and political protectors who provided money, sanctuary, legitimacy, and propaganda cover.

Qatar was one of Hamas’s most important state patrons.

Sheikha Moza was one of the most powerful and central figures in that patron state — with full knowledge of what the funding and protection enabled.

She therefore bears direct political and moral responsibility for the system that financed, protected, legitimized, and then defended through propaganda the organization that committed the October 7 massacre.

Her responsibility does not end with Hamas. Qatar, under the Al Thani family in which Sheikha Moza has long been a dominant force, has been a major global sponsor of terrorism — supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, jihadist networks, and other extremist proxies across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. Sheikha Moza, as one of the most powerful individuals in this system, bears responsibility for Qatar’s role in fueling terrorism worldwide.

She cannot credibly claim to be merely an educator, philanthropist, or humanitarian.

She helped give Qatar a respectable international face while Qatar — with her active participation in its leadership and image management — gave Hamas the resources, the safe haven, the legitimacy, and the propaganda shield it needed to build a terrorist army and carry out the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust.

This is the record. This is the accountability that must be faced.

The IDF says it eliminated two Hamas Nukhba commanders in a precise overnight airstrike in northern Gaza:

Ali Shamalh, deputy commander of a Nukhba company, and Nasser Loh, commander of a Nukhba squad in Hamas’s Sabra Battalion.
