MTN came before Glo but two likely reasons why some people chose Glo

1. Glo's early strategy was to enter smaller towns and villages. Glo first came to Offa and I was forced to buy Glo because MTN was not available in my hometown then. I guess your mum chose Glo for similar reason if she wasn't based in a city

2. Glo was cheaper. In fact, at some point, the ever classist Nigerians used to mock people using Glo as cheap.

I think we can say the same for close to 60% of the teams at the world Cup. There is a deficient of elite strikers generally in football. Aside from the top teams like France, England etc. I can even argue that Germany has no worldclass striker

You have a great point, but one thing is missing, we do not have elite strikers at the world cup.

The closest is Saibari who Bayern just paid £55m for, see the goal he scored against Brazil, only elites score such.

Run through the list of scorers or top 9s in every of the African team, you won't find any elite striker. We lack that.
