@jon_d_doe Definitely, this would open space for skill building, creativity, & real learning. Education shouldn’t be by classroom theory.
Key balance here should be,
Morning for academics.
Afternoon for skills, & innovation. Sometimes progress starts by questioning what we’ve always done.
In 1955, Cyril Northcote Parkinson wrote one line in The Economist that explained most of corporate life.
'Work expands to fill the time available for its completion.'
Give someone a week to write a one-page memo. It takes a week. Give them two hours. It takes two hours. The memo is the same.
Most teams don't have a workload problem. They have a time-boundary problem.
You don't need more hours. You need fewer hours with harder edges.
Set a deadline that makes you uncomfortable. Watch what you cut. What you cut was never necessary.
Lagos can teach you project management without giving you a certificate.
You leave home for a 30-minute journey.
Google Maps says 52 minutes.
The rain says two hours.
One danfo says “shift inside.”
Your meeting says “we are waiting for you.”
Your body says “you should have used the toilet before leaving.”
Now you are managing transport risk, weather risk, stakeholder expectations, bladder capacity and one driver who believes lane markings are only a suggestion.
By the time you arrive, you have completed a live simulation in uncertainty.
This is why Nigerians can enter a new environment and adjust fast. We have been doing contingency planning since childhood. Plan A is hope. Plan B is prayer. Plan C is somebody's cousin who knows another road.
The only problem is that we sometimes normalise the chaos instead of fixing it.
Resilience is useful.
But e better make system work too.
When I built my first house in Abuja, I was earning 250k from one job and another 130k from another job = 380k.
I got money to buy land from salary paid after ASUU strike was called off (6 months salary in bulk).
From that 380k combined salary I built a well furnished 3 bedroom house. It took me 24 months with an extra loan of 1 million.
It took 3 months to save up to buy tiles, some months I buy cement & keep it, another month na only sand the money go reach. But I persevere. Some nights na Akara & akamu me and my wife go drink to bed till we complete everything with fence and gate.
When we moved to the house, there's this boldness I had that I can achieve anything I want & nothing is too big for me to achieve. As a man you need that!
After few months, an Alhaji knocked on my gate and said he likes the house very beautiful and nice. He asked if I want to sell as he's looking for a house in that area he can do weekends. He asked me for my price I said I am not selling. He disturbed me for months.
Bottom line.
Don't take advise from online peeps, your reality & their reality are not the same. The house is worth 3x the amount I built it (It's just 4 years ago).
There's no amount of interest that would give me 3x the capital in 3 years.
Don't take directions from someone who has never been to where you're going or lived your life.
Taking advice from strangers is a big risk!
That Sambo guy is the kind of guy you want to do business with.
He literally put Abazz on because he was a fan of the Abazz guy. If Abazz had delivered what he was supposed to, the guy would have sang his praise and even refer him to more people.
You people are just greedy and myopic calling the dude “Agbako

@jon_d_doe Many of those who adopted that channel used it as a quick visibility strategy, leveraging comments & translations to gain attention, but they eventually disappeared because they lacked a clear niche, & the consistency needed to sustain it beyond the initial exposure.
By the way,
Incase nobody told you,
If you are a Nigerian man on a modest average income with a working wife and you choose to bear all the financial burden of the home, just to prove you are “the head”, you will die young.
Again Incase nobody has told you:
You will die young.
No matter what happens, do not birth just one child
give them siblings, that's the only family they'll have
When you're gone, uncles, aunties and cousins won't be there for them.
No amount of money can get you a flight out of Dubai right now.
Or Doha. Or Bahrain. Or Kuwait.
The richest cities on earth - and you can't leave.
Money buys you options. It doesn't buy you exits.
The world changed overnight. Again.
I went to give my school officer my wedding invitation.
She has been married twice. Divorced twice. And now she’s openly dating a married man.
She didn’t just congratulate me.
She had notes.
She looked at my invitation, smiled slowly, and said,
“Let me advise you.”
1. Never start buying things for the house with your own money. The day you start, it becomes your duty forever.
2. Your money is your money.
3. Your husband’s money is for the family.
4. Don’t ever join funds with your husband to buy property. Buy yours separately.
5. You are the one who decides how many children to have, not your husband.
6. Are you changing your surname?” I said yes. She shook her head. “No need. What do you need his name for? Keep your father’s name.
7. And one more thing… your mother-in-law is not your mother, she is not yours friend. Don't be too open.
I just smiled and said, “Thank you, ma.”
But as I walked away, I kept wondering…
Was that wisdom speaking?
Or wounds talking?
President Obasanjo on Nasir El Rufai in his book My Watch Volume 2: Page 110 - 112
“Nasir’s penchant for reputation savaging is almost pathological. Why does he do it? Very early in my interaction with him, I appreciated his talent. At the same time, I recognised his weaknesses; the worst being his inability to be loyal to anybody or any issue consistently for long… He lied brazenly, which he did to me, against his colleagues and so-called friends… My vivid recollection of him is penchant for lying, for unfair embellishment of stories, and his inability to sustain loyalty for long… He was described as a malicious liar. He was more than that; he is a pathological purveyor of untruths and half-truths with little or no regard for integrity.”
A snake is a snake is a snake is A SNAKE!
I have practical experience in power and control circuit design, panel wiring, and electrical installations. I am skilled in circuit analysis.
I am open to entry level engineering opportunities where I can contribute to power systems, renewable energy, and control projects.🙏
