Governor Lee and Commissioner Schwinn like to say that the TN Charter Commission was created to ensure that we have “high quality charter schools”. It is important to understand that a “high quality charter school” is not the same as a high quality *public* school.

@PaulCottlePhys I find my students avoid physics b/c they think it’s beyond their capabilities. Students don’t understand the difference in physics and chemistry and can’t pick based on preference. They are all instructed to take chemistry. Honestly I think chemistry teachers are easier to find.

@ilana_horn Keep encouraging him to do what he’s created to do. My son got bad grades b/c he didn’t write his daily paragraphs. He was working on a novella and that didn’t count. I didn’t even k kw what a novella was until he explained. 7 th grade. This was also when I checked out of ed.
