Officer Tanya Reeves had been at Mercy General in Denver for nine days after being injured during a call. Her Malinois partner, Scout, refused to eat for the first three days. Her temporary handler said Scout paced constantly and wouldn't settle. The hospital approved a visit after Tanya's captain submitted a formal request. Scout entered the room, moved directly to the bed, and laid himself down along Tanya's uninjured side with complete precision.
Her captain said: "Scout avoided both injury sites without hesitation. That awareness in that moment was something l've never seen before." Tanya said:
"That's when I knew I'd be okay."

The account was replying to footage of Trump arriving in Ankara, Türkiye. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was seen propping the American leader up, tightly gripping his arm, and pulling him back on track after he tried to wonder off. At times, Trump seemed to not even know where he was, a common symptom of dementia.

The stunning moment was captured on video and in pictures, and was far worse than any of the moments that the mainstream media used to breathlessly accuse President Biden of cognitive decline.

Of course, it's crickets from Fox News. Their cult leader is sundowning on the world stage in the midst of meeting with foreign leaders, and yet Republicans are still pretending that he's some kind of brilliant statesman.

A funeral procession was held for the 52 people who have died in ice detention/custody. Hundreds of people gathered in marched carrying 52 coffins on July 4th in Minneapolis. They marched to the Justice department where they laid the caskets down and held a funeral service for all the sacred lives taken. The number is probably higher but those are the recorded numbers at this time. The 52 don't include Alex Pretti or Renee Good we're both murdered in the streets of Minneapolis defending their immigrant neighbors.

As the bulldozers roll into Big Bend to build miles of needless border walls, roads and vehicle barriers, I want to remind you just how horrific it was to spend years watching walls go up across protected public lands in Arizona.

We watched DHS bulldoze ancient saguaro cacti that were older than the border itself. They dynamited Indigenous gravesites in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument—I was there watching the shockwaves rattle cactus arms as O'odham tribal members wept. We watched them pump up millions of gallons of precious desert groundwater, permanently altering fragile desert springs.

We can't allow this to happen to Big Bend, where DHS's own statistics say virtually nobody crosses the border. We can't let this happen to Texas' crown-jewel national park, its Congressionally protected wild and scenic river. We'll never stop fighting to save the last best place left in the borderlands.
