@stevepicray@Protestia Scroll up (or into any protest view of LDS). If you think that your approach is even remotely Christ like then you are corrrct; we worship a very different Christ.
It’s entirely possible this is the greatest performance of a Christian hymn ever recorded.
Lyrics:
Jesus climbed the hill to the garden still.
His steps were heavy and slow.
Love and a prayer took Him there
To the place only He could go.
Gethsemane. Jesus loves me,
So He went willingly to Gethsemane.
He felt all that was sad, wicked, or bad,
All the pain we would ever know.
While His friends were asleep, He fought to keep
His promise made long ago.
Gethsemane. Jesus loves me,
So He went willingly to Gethsemane.
The hardest thing that ever was done,
The greatest pain that ever was known,
The biggest battle that ever was won—
This was done by Jesus!
The fight was won by Jesus!
Gethsemane. Jesus loves me,
So He gave His gift to me in Gethsemane.
Gethsemane. Jesus loves me,
So He gives His gift to me from Gethsemane.

What we are doing compares but we are fighting a very different battle than they fought back then. Every step we take is a march through temptations that this world has never known with such abundance and accessibility. Many of our youth recognize truth in the midst of this flood of adversities and choose to go on missions worthily, attend the Temple and stand for virtue in a world that tears it down. The valiance and sacrifice required to thrive today is not a small or insignificant thing.
@MDBurnsER@PatMcAfeeShow@ryderly0ns Did you know there are a lot of ignorant bigots on X that cherry pick other people’s beliefs and avoid adding anything of substance to the conversation?
@vipersgratitude@Rothmus The south was full of slaves but we can see how far that got them. The South probably isn’t the best example of a thriving America. During that same time period, Tripoli was enslaving American sailors a world away. Please tell us what happened there.
@RobertJMolnar@krassenstein Also, highly unlikely that 10% of the reserves went up in flames. They are built to safe guard in the events of leaks and fires. I’m sure Brian knows this but he likes adding gasonline to fires.
