✅ A renewed commitment from the government to reverse deep wage cuts experienced by Facilities members over 20 years ago under the BC Liberals.
✅ A clear path to improve wages and benefits for health care workers working in long-term care and assisted living.
After ten months of bargaining, the bargaining committee for the Facilities Bargaining Association (FBA) has reached a tentative agreement with the Health Employers Association of BC.

Highlights of the tentative agreement:
✅ 3% general wage increase in each year of the four-year agreement, totaling 12%.
✅ Enhanced provisions that address critical staffing issues.

No one should have to choose between paying for prescription drugs, and putting food on the table. Today, we take another huge step forward in strengthening BC's universal public healthcare system, with the signing of a new pharmacare agreement with the Government of Canada.
However, it was not until federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh made it a condition of his support that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau agreed to take this first step in providing universal, single-payer drug coverage to Canadians.
