Interesting thread, but you are making a few big leaps that are not supported by the facts.

Yes, derivatives have a major influence on the short-term price of Bitcoin these days. That applies to virtually every mature financial market.

But concluding from that that Bitcoin's scarcity has disappeared is incorrect. Futures, options, and swaps do not create new BTC on the blockchain. The maximum supply remains 21 million.

The claim that Wall Street is "printing unlimited Bitcoin" is also misleading. A derivatives contract is not Bitcoin. It creates exposure, not extra coins.

That derivatives influence price discovery is a valid point. That Bitcoin is no longer scarce as a result, or that the entire market is dictated by synthetic supply, is something else entirely and requires much stronger evidence than is provided in this post.

Moreover, a term like "Synthetic Float Ratio" is presented as if it were a generally recognized market measure, whereas that is not the case.

In short: interesting observations regarding market structure, but the conclusion goes much further than what the facts support.
