North Yorkshire Police are taking a more corporate approach social media so I’m sad to say that it’s time for my last Tweet.
I’ll finish with a reminder of a post that freaked loads of people out. 🙂
In addition to my police work I've been working on this part-time at the @UniOfYork. Lots of hard work but it was well worth it. I learnt so much and made friends from all round the world. Keep an open mind and never stop learning.
Looking forward to working with our new Independent Advisory Group Chairperson for Scarborough & Ryedale. These groups help us to understand issues from different perspectives & improve the way we work.

Good people of #Scarborough... do you have some spare time? Good organisational skills? Would you like to help us improve the way we work? This is the volunteering opportunity you’ve been waiting for: https://t.co/rlouMNs1cd
At 1.30pm today the Public Accountability meeting will be streamed here... https://t.co/SP7N2s3hj2. It’ll focus on North Yorkshire’s reaction to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Yes, following all the drama at Hogwarts, Harry abandoned a career in magic to examine the morality of capital punishment with regard to the Anglican church. Oddly, this book has not yet been adapted as part of the film series.
@LeicsPoliceLGBT @leicspolice Keep up the great work. It’s so important for us to respect and understand all our communities and to be representative of them.
Today is Sgt Neil Northend’s last day at work before retirement. He’s led the @YouthTeamNYP since 2016 and he’s the most enthusiastic officer I’ve ever met. Thank you for your service!
So pleased for my colleagues who heard they’d passed the sergeants promotion boards today.
I’m also thinking about others who weren’t successful - I know how horrible it feels. Don’t give up. Get your feedback and come back stronger next time.
North Yorkshire Police will give sex workers the same level of respect and protection as any other victim of crime.
We fully support the work of @NationalUglyMug that aims to end violence against sex workers.

So happy to be taking part in the @NYP_Lifestyle. We're all about keeping children with allergies safe, by helping playgroups create a safe environment and offering allergy advice to restaurants and coffee shops.
So I have just spoken to a young man who read my blog. He has just passed our recruitment process and said his story mirrors my own.
Both from the same village, country of origin, single parent and both went to @RisedaleCollege.
However, he is much younger than me!
Very well deserved recognition for Paul. I had the pleasure of working on the same team as him when we were #Harrogate Beat Managers together. Now I have the pleasure of having him as one of my School Liaison Officers. 🏆
Congratulations to our colleague Paul Stephenson for receiving a Force Commendation - for his inspiration, dedication and commitment in Safeguarding young people during his 40 years of service in @NYorksPolice 🏅👏
@hotelalpha9@what3words It’s a fantastic app. I used it to find a remote farm in the Fens last week so can see how useful it is for emergency services. I have been telling people about it ever since.
Working on response today for #York & #Selby. Finished my shift with a quick visit to the @NYPControlRoom to say thank you for their work. They’re always good but today they were amazing.
