If the Heat acquire Giannis, Miami could re-sign BOTH Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins & also get access to the full $15.5 mid-level exception for another signing:
“Miami might be able to re-sign impending free agent Norman Powell and Andrew Wiggins (who has a $30 million player option) and use the full $15.5 million mid-level exception if both players take slight pay cuts in the first year and if the Heat is willing to spend above the $201 million tax line but below the $209 million first apron.”

“The Heat is prepared to give (Giannis) Antetokounmpo an extension and is operating with the belief that it would be able to keep him beyond this season; he has a player option for 2026-27.
That’s why the team is willing to open its full cupboard of assets, Adebayo aside.”

Miami needs to get Giannis Antetokounmpo and figure out the rest later.
This genuinely our best opportunity to land a star in the past decade.
Get it done this month.
“The Portland possibility, which has become such a focal point, is, per league sources, unlikely given Antetokounmpo’s preference to play in the East…”
The trade noise surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat "remains louder than all the rest."

Executives, agents around the NBA believe Giannis Antetokounmpo will be traded to the Miami Heat.

If Giannis wants Miami, it's time for him & his camp (including an agent shared with Bam) to press the button. Any leak that he won't extend somewhere else will limit the Bucks' options. That allows the Heat to keep 1-2 pieces. That helps the build around Giannis, to compete.
Giannis has been interested in joining the Miami Heat since 2020, per @JakeLFischer:
“I know definitively from various sources.. He’s been looking at the Heat dating back to 2020… The Heat been on Giannis’ radar for the better part of this decade now.”
Executives and agents around the league reportedly believe Giannis will be traded to Miami:
“The noise surrounding the Miami Heat and Antetokounmpo remains louder than all the rest. Many people around the league, from agents to executives, continue to believe that Antetokounmpo will end up in Miami when this saga comes to an end…”

“While league sources have long maintained that he’s interested in joining the Heat, there are also indications that he’s very intrigued with the prospect of joining a Celtics team that, by any objective measure, is deeper and more dynamic than Miami’s and could thus remain more competitive after a blockbuster deal. And again, Antetokounmpo’s focus on getting back to title contention should not be overlooked.”

Assuming the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat are the last ones standing for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who can offer the best possible deal?!

Miami’s offer is quite literally everything that @ShamsCharania has repeatedly iterated the Bucks are looking for, & then some:
“Blue chip young talent” (Ware, Jaquez, Jovic)
“Surplus of draft picks”
(3 firsts, 2 swaps— most capital here)
Young All-Star/salary match in Herro
The Miami Heat will have a $16.8 million trade exception they can use before July 7.
Who are names they should potentially target?! @mph_824_ examines! #HEATNation
