"I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling... On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations." (Zechariah 12:2-3)
The Tribe of Judah was one of the twelve ancient tribes of Israel, descended from the biblical figure Judah, the fourth son of Jacob. Symbolized by the lion, it is historically and spiritually significant as the royal tribe of the Davidic kings and the lineage from which Jesus and the term "Jew" originate.
