Education must prepare students not just for graduation, but for life beyond school.

Ontario is investing $4 million through new partnerships with the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Canada and the King’s Trust Canada to expand student access to experiential learning opportunities.
When students have opportunities to put their learning into practice, they leave school better prepared, no matter the career path they choose.

Is it just me that finds it embarrassing that the Education Minister doesn’t know that trustees currently are not involved in operational responsibilities? These duties are clearly laid out in the Education Act and belong to Directors of Education.

Student achievement and the enhanced educational experience of all students ARE the current priorities. This includes students benefiting from Special Education programming and supports. As 71 of 72 Ontario school boards subsidize the current levels of Special Education funding, the Ministry and @fordnation cannot claim its their current priority!
