Growing up in Michigan, Dearborn was never once the place the internet says it is. It's been home to Arab families for a hundred years, and nobody in Michigan ever talked about it the way the timeline does now. The city didn’t change It became useful to people who've never been there.
Propaganda sucks
The post office loses money because it is legally required to deliver to every address in America at the same price.
That obligation is not a bug. It is the entire point. No private company would ever accept it.
Wells Fargo already wrote the memo: sell the profitable routes, cut the union jobs, raise prices up to 140%. Amazon is building out the rural last mile it was missing. Bezos went from calling Trump a threat to democracy to sitting in the billionaires' section at the inauguration.
250 years of public infrastructure is not a distressed asset to be flipped.
Ask who is buying.
Tariff costs were passed on to the people while corporations got billions in tariff refunds. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞.
@Amy_Siskind I love this lady from out of town feels the need to remind Michigan voters that we're a purple state. You're pandering and implying Michiganders don't explicitly understand their state, it's insulting.
Favorability was also tested, with El-Sayed holding a 7-point net advantage over Stevens.
Half of Democrats under 40 and Democratic Socialists view Stevens unfavorably. If some of those voters stay home in November, it could severely complicate her path to victory.
@TedLasso31442@shannonrwatts I really think American citizens at large, and Michiganders more specifically, are concerned that our politicians think we're unquestionably indebted to Israel's needs.

NEW: In a since-deleted site for a prior campaign, Haley Stevens said the US relationship with Israel "must go unquestioned."
Hard to overstate what a radical stance this is. To her it's illegitimate for voters to even question US support for Israel.

AIPAC is spending more than 8x as much as the entire pro-@AbdulElSayed campaign, and Haley Stevens isn't even on the air.
I'm not sure I have ever seen anything like this in a Senate race.
@TedLasso31442@shannonrwatts Sure. I'm an actual MI voter (not an NYC enthusiast) that is concerned my potential elected official is beholden to Israel's best interests over her own constituents.
But you can continue to pretend not to see that perspective.

@TomNataniel@shannonrwatts Right, exactly. But Stevens isn't concerned with groceries or healthcare when her campaign has taken $20M from AIPAC.
I'm not sure what point you think you're making, but as you said, you're not from Michigan.
Again, I voted for Haley in the past, but have been disappointed.
@TedLasso31442@shannonrwatts I think its more an issue of low morality and standards when it comes to political ads and PACs knowing some voters will believe anything they see on TV.
