Official figures show UK food price inflation climbed for a fifth consecutive month, up from 4.9% in July to 5.1% in August. Over 20% rise in food prices in just a few months. Itβs breaking people. Food is becoming unaffordable for many people. And the supermarkets show record profits and pay farmers pittance for their food. They are fleecing farmers at the purchase and consumers at the sale.
@MartinSLewis Water Minister comments that they expect water companies to offer support for anyone struggling to pay. Guess that means everyone who can afford to pay has to pay for people who can't!
@BuryCouncil no brown bin collection for Sandown Road on Wednesday and no email to explain why. No way to report this on your website as says it should be done by 1pm next day!!!!
@AldiUK have always loved shopping at Aldi but have just had to self scan my entire weekly shop at your store in Middleton, as you wouldn't open any tills at 7:30. Bad enough that your prices are rocketing up but cutting back on your service as well!
@Keir_Starmer Water should never have been nationalised and you have an opportunity to reverse this starting with Thames Water but sounds like this won't be taken! Instead bills will keep rising and shareholders profiting.
@officialcufc You deserved the win but absolute scum behaviour from your substitutes, crowd and ball balls towards the end. Zero class. Hope you go down now.
