Have been spending less time on crypto in the last few weeks. I'd been here all day everyday for like 4 years. Not sure if it's the nature of the current environment or the X algo being worse, but it's been harder and harder to spend a lot of time actively in crypto lately for me.

I've also noticed some serious bear market PTSD in myself lately too. As we get closer and closer to a potential "top" I've noticed a bigger impact in my mental health. Just knowing at some point in the next 12 months alts are going to all go down 70, 80, 95%+ makes me feel pain for people who end up losing on those trades. I lost almost everything last cycle and that's something I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Perhaps also I seem to be feeling some fear for others. The memecoin market has gotten much more difficult in the last year. It seems many people are getting rekt trying to get rich quickly on very risky new coins. One of the reasons I stopped sharing what I'd been buying is I hated to share something that wouldn't do well.

Maybe too it's because in the past there was more comradery in that we were a family trying to win together and today's market is much more pvp and more mercenary.

I've been in a pretty defensive position for my portfolio despite generally thinking the market still goes higher. I actually think there's a decent argument to be made for crypto to trend well into 2026. I'm still scalping a fair amount and in some spot, but buying BTC between 9-15 months after a clear top seems like a much more EV+ trade than trying to catch the final leg of this cycle by being all in.

My best advice to people trying to succeed in this market is to avoid putting yourself in a position to where you're out of the game. Greed will drive you crazy and seeing others making big gains can be hard to not feel some urgency to "do something". Make a plan to always have chips to play with regardless of what happens tomorrow. If you're not profitable, take a break, do something else, invest for the long term. I haven't been profitable in trading new coins over the last 12 months and mostly I've avoided doing it because it just wasn't working. I've also noticed a few people committing suicide lately in the community. Please find people to talk to if you're struggling. Don't go through this alone. My DMs are always open. The volatility in crypto is a blessing and a curse. There is incredible potential to win but, with that, also to lose. There's always potential in this market if you continue to spend time and energy finding opportunities. You don't have to make life changing money in a matter of days or weeks. Think in years and decades.
