#Bluejays have to DFA Hoffman. When is enough going to be enough? He just blew a 5-1 ninth-inning lead at Baltimore and lost 6-5. Unconscionable stuff. Schneider didn’t get him out till it was 5-4 and bases were loaded. Woof.

More family doctors will not end ER crowding and will not solve rural ER closures. I get that you need a catchy election promise but the problems in the ER revolve around hospital beds and nursing.
@BonnieCrombie You’ve got it wrong. ED crowding and deaths aren’t from minor illnesses. A minor case goes home in a couple hours after being seen. A major case that’s admitted takes 5, 10, or 20 times longer to get in to hospital. This is crowding. No amount of family docs will fix that.
@MareadelPortill File away but at the end of the day, a physician can terminate a relationship for a whole host of causes but it must be done in a thoroughly professional manner and provide a grace period for emergency care
The Ontario government must recognize the essential role of family doctors. The care and expertise they provide cannot be replaced, and compensation should reflect their true value to patients and the health system. See OCFP's statement:https://t.co/QlY0c0TwkR
There are 2.3 million Ontarians without a family doctor. And yet this govt is pretending there's no doctor shortage.
They need to be honest and get to work fixing our crumbling healthcare system.

Ontario has 234 doctors per 100,000 population, one of the lowest rates in the country
2.3 million Ontarians don't have a family doctor
By 2026, 25% of Ontarians will not have a family doctor
Yet the Ford Gov is not concerned

unbelievable. this MoH will say anything. Simple fact. We have real gaps, status quo doesnt cut it. Pharmacy prescribing changes nothing. ED & hospital crowding, care for the elderly frail, poor MD supply planning is real. Seems this Minister doesnt care if people suffer.
I mean what can you possibly say?
2.2 million Ontarians without a family physician.
Rural ERs closing every damned day.
Wait times for some specialties routinely over 18 months
Aging physician workforce retiring in droves.
And the Ontario government isn't concerned.
