After a thrilling clash which nobody deserved to lose, our boys have reached the U15 ESCA national final!
After posting 205-8 (Adams 45, Howarth 43), Shrewsbury limited Altrincham to 202-7 from their 40 overs (Mudalige 2-26).
A phenomenal achievement!
Congratulations all!
Howarth hit a magnificent 105 from just 84 balls as the U15 boys defeated Cheshire today.
Athwal added 53 as Shrewsbury totalled 284.
Kundu took 4-20 as Cheshire fell short in reply.
I dipped my toe back into watching @ManCity in the champions league, and will now dip it right back out again. Real Madrid fan sat to my left, live-streamer to my right. Never again. You can take the cup scheme @mancity and place it where the sun bears no light!
Season card holder, trying to take my 13yr old son tomorrow who's a citizen member but hasn't yet been able to buy a ticket (needs to have bought 1+ home game), so we don't qualify. 2 more empty seats for you #ManCity#mancityhelp. Geordies no doubt will fill them.
Sort it out!

@SamLee Way off the pace to the point it didn't just look like lack of match fitness, rather not fully recovered. Tracking back looked as though he was running lame. Shouldn't have started in such a high profile match.

Our U15A boys have arrived at the stunning Arundel Castle ground, where they will attempt to be crowned as ECB National T20 champions.
The semi-final against Scarborough college starts at 10.15am.
Everyone at Manchester City is shocked and saddened to learn about the devastating news regarding the passing of Diogo Jota.
We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and everyone at Liverpool Football Club at this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Diogo.
Huge congratulations to Oscar H, who has just scored his first every century whilst playing for our U14A team against North Wales.
He smashed 107 from 95 balls, with 13 fours and 2 sixes.
A wonderful moment.
A clinical performance, first with ball and then bat has seen our U15 boys beat Bedford by 10 wickets to be crowned Midlands champions.
They will travel to Arundel in September to contest the national title.
A phenomenal team effort.

Tomorrow is match day 1!
U15 Shropshire County Sevens runners up, and U14 County Champions. A great effort from the boys throughout the afternoon, with some scintillating scores.
Ticket price hikes highlight the need for an Independent Regulator to protect fans. Premier League fans will stage protests at games over the next two weekends over clubs’ ticketing strategies. #StopExploitingLoyalty campaign organised by @WeAreTheFSA, which has data revealing that Premier League prices have risen 7% and claims “a widespread attack on concessionary prices for younger and older supporters”. The FSA claims Nottingham Forest “bumped up prices by 20%. Nottingham Forest Supporters’ Trust said rises were “totally disproportionate”. 20,000 West Ham fans signed a petition protesting against price rises. 15,000 Wolves fans have done the same at Molineux.
Clubs plead escalating wages for stars coveted by fans and the need to meet PSR regulations. Yet fans see clubs receiving £6.7bn for domestic TV rights alone. They see clubs “generating around 7%-13% of their income from matchdays”. They see and hear the backdrop provided by fans that TV wants. And they legitimately wonder why prices are being hiked, when lockdown highlighted even further the importance of fans.
“Fans feel clubs often care more about attracting one-off visitors who’ll pay through the nose for a ticket while spending fortunes in the club shop, when they should be looking to reward those who go week in, week out, win or lose,” says Tom Greatrex @WeAreTheFSA chair. FSA officials are having discussions with @premierleague. “A decade ago the FSA secured a £30 away price cap in the Premier League and we’d implore clubs to speak to their supporters and find new ways to make sure football is affordable for all.”
Fans see clubs spending 10s of millions on lawyers for some disputes which grown-ups who care about the league should be able to sort out around the Premier League boardroom table. They see the agents’ fees. They see the prices for replica kits (can be £100+ for a shirt) and for concourse refuelling. Many also have the cost of TV subscriptions. “The Premier League and its clubs really need to listen to this message,” Greatrex adds. “Clubs must cherish and reward supporter loyalty rather than exploit it.” 2/2
